Go West rightly lost no time in following up their smash hit debut We Close Our Eyes with this thumping tune that helped establish them as the hot newcomers of 1985 and gave them another top 20 hit in the UK. Call Me built on the macho image of the boys that has been started in the WCOE video. In this song Rick joined Pete in the Jeans, Vest and Sweat look in a video that saw the boys followed by a 50ft woman and doing back-flips down a US style street scene. Call Me remains one of the essential songs of the 1980's and if you see Go West live today you will find its performance is as fresh now as it was back in that summer. The Single benefited from having the excellent track 'Man in my Mirror' as its B side so this really is a class addition to any music collection.
