None of the versions are still on general sale but they are still available if you are prepared to keep an eye on second hand retailers.
The King Is Dead is a remarkably original piece of work and it still stands out as proof of Go West's versatility in that very few pop/rock bands could ever have pulled off a recording of what is essentially a Jazz track. The track is made even more unusual by the backing vocals provided for the boys by Kate Bush! The King is Dead is a remarkably complicated vocal composition and silenced those critics who had claimed the Guys songs all sounded alike; this is different but unmissable and those who have been lucky enough to hear The King Is Dead Live never forget the experience...buy it and youre unlikely to forget it either.
