GO WEST TO APPEAR AT 'LETS ROCK THE MOOR' 2012
Go West's management have confirmed that they will be one of the star acts at the 'Lets Rock The Moor' open air event taking place on Saturday 12th May 2012 at Marsh Meadow in Cookham, Berkshire. The event was a great success last year and this year is certain to be an equally entertaining day! Other artists appearing include Billy Ocean and Heaven 17 and there will be food, drink and entertainment on site as well as live music. GO WEST CONFIRMED FOR REWIND SCOTLAND 2012!
Go West have today been confirmed as one of the star acts at what promises to be a wonderful Rewind Scotland 2012! The first Scottish Rewind last year was a huge success and the sell out crowd enjoyed a number of great acts including of course Peter Cox and Richard Drummie! This year fans will have the same opportunity! Go West will appear on Saturday 21st July at Scone Palace, Perthshire. THE 3D LIVE TOUR ENDS IN STYLE IN ISLINGTON!
The Go West 3D Live Tour ended in considerable style on 22nd December when the final show at the Islington O2 Academy saw Peter Cox, Richard Drummie and their wonderful band play to a packed and hugely appreciative audience ! The show was a fitting end to a wonderful tour which has been enjoyed by all those fans who have been lucky enough to grab a ticket. THE FINAL SHOWS IN THE 3D LIVE TOUR ARE THIS WEEK!

The final show of the Go West 3D Live Tour has been moved due to circumstances beyond the Bands control and will now take place at the O2 Academy Islington rather then at the previously announced Shepherds Bush Empire. All tickets purchased by fans for the Shepherds Bush Empire will be valid for the O2 Academy Islington and tickets are still on sale so fans can still grab the chance to see the last night of what is already a wonderful tour! AUSTRALIAN TOUR ENDS ON A HIGH!
The Go West Tour of Australia ended on Saturday night with another successful show in New South Wales to provide a suitable end to a run of eight shows in two weeks that have seen Peter Cox and Richard Drummie play to fans across the length and breadth of Australia. The Tour has been a hit with fans and both band and fans hope the return Tour will take place in the near future. Now Peter and Richard have a few days before their hows in Malaysia on November 8th and the Philippines on the 11 and 12 November. Go West's management have confirmed that the Australian Rewind show which had been due to take place on October 29th has now been cancelled. If fans have tickets for Rewind the advice is that they should apply for a full refund to the Box Office where they purchased their tickets. However the good news for Australian fans is that the dates on the Go West tour of Australia which kicks off next week are still all on! So if you want to see Peter Cox and Richard Drummie live you can still grab a ticket for one of their fantastic shows! The gig in Scarborough which would have seen Go West playing live alongside ABC and Tony hadley on July 24th has now been moved to September 2nd 2011. Because of the date change Tony Hadley will no longer be playing this show but Go West will be! They will still be alongside ABC and new act Jason Donovan. A GREAT CHARITY SHOW AT HIGH WYCOMBE!
Go West and friends played a charity show in aid of Helen and Douglas House Childrens Hospice at the Swan Theatre in High Wycombe on Sunday night and as well as putting on a great show for the crowd helped raise thousands of pounds for the Hospice! Peter Cox has now opened a brand new second facebook page! Peter's first page has been a huge success and fans and friends have enjoyed keeping up to date with everything Peter is up to via the Social Network. SAFFRON WALDEN SHOW DETAILS AVAILABLE!
More information about the Go West gig in saffron walden on Saturday 9th July is now available. The gig will be the highlight of the eight day 'Saffron Walden Carnival' which is run by the Round Table and takes place in the town every eyar. The last day is the 9th July and the Go West live gig will be the finale. The event is free so everyone who can come along will be able to enjoy a great night! This will be the third year in a row when Go West have played the Rewind Festival and they have thrilled tens of thousands of music fans with their brilliant live performances. Fans at the Bournemouth BICC last week enjoyed a brilliant final night in the Rewind Christmas Tour. TWO GREAT PERFORMANCES BY PETER COX!
Peter Cox has played two great gigs in two nights as Lead Singer of Manfred Mann's Earthband and of course as one half of Go West! The first show was on Friday night at JakobArena in Bamberg, Germany. There Peter and the rest of the Earthband except Manfred played a full set to a very appreciative crowd. Peter then travelled to join up with Richard and the full Go West touring band to play a gig in Bognor last night that was a great success! These shows are a prelude to the huge Rewind Arena Tour which starts in less then two weeks and will see Peter Cox and Richard Drummie playing at arenas across the UK! MANFRED MANN'S EARTHBAND TOUR STATEMENT
Peter Cox is the lead singer for Manfred Mann's Earthband and as such was due in November and December to join the rest of the Earthband at a series of gigs across Europe. The Earthband have now issued the following statement about the shows:

THREE GREAT GO WEST GIGS IN THREE NIGHTS!
Thousands of lucky fans have enjoyed a series of live Go West shows in recent days as Peter Cox, Richard Drummie and their touring band have played three live shows in three nights! The first gig was a hugely popular gig at the Robin2 in Bilston. Go West gigs at the Robin are always fantastic and this was no different as the fans packed into the standing venue enjoyed a sset which included brand new songs from the forthcoming cd '3D part 2'. 'She Lights Me Up' and 'Sun Will Rise' both received enthusiastic receptions from the crowd and look certain to be regular parts of future Go West sets. On Friday the Guys were in Skegness where the crowd enjoyed a full set which included the wonderful 'Fastest Man Alive' from 3D part 1 and She Lights Me Up from 3D part 2 as well as some classic Go West hits and the set of live shows was completed last night at Bognor. FIRST GIG AT THE ROBIN2 IN BILSTON ON 6th OCTOBER CANCELLED
The Robin2 venue in Bilston has confirmed that due to circumstances outside of the control of either the venue or Go West the first Go West show planned for Wednesday 6th October has been cancelled. The second show which will take place on Thursday 7th October will still be going ahead so fans who have tickets for the cancelled show have the choice of switching their tickets so they can attend on Thursday. If they cannot make that show the Robin will refund the full price of the cancelled gig ticket. To quote the mail from the Robin this is what you need to do to either swap or get a refund:

A NEW CHARITY TREK WITH RICHARD DRUMMIE IN 2011!
Join Martin Fry and Richard Drummie in Cambodia
Eighties icons ABC and Go West are looking for adventurers to join them on the trek of a lifetime in Cambodia for children’s health charity Action Medical Research.
Martin Fry and Richard Drummie from the bands behind ‘80s classic hits such as ‘The Look of Love’ and ‘We Close Our Eyes’, are getting ready to tackle the five-day trek through the unspoilt tropical landscapes of mystical Cambodia. This will be the forth trek the intrepid duo has undertaken for the charity, having already completed trips across Venezuela, Costa Rica and most recently through the Namibian desert.
Martin Fry, lead singer of ABC, says: “This will be our fourth trek with Action Medical Research and we have so many amazing memories. We meet so many inspirational people on these trips and just can’t wait to get to Cambodia. Join us for what promises to be the best trek yet. It’s a fantastic cause – raising money to support work that could help cure or treat diseases and conditions that devastate the lives of babies and children and their families. The trip takes place between 3 and 11 October 2011 and will see Fry, Drummie and their fellow trekkers discover the sacred Phnom Mountains and visit the Angkor Wat temple complex, a UNESCO World Heritage site.

PETER COX SINGING THE THEME TUNE TO A NEW TV SHOW!
Peter is going to be singing the theme tune to a TV Series called "Me and Mrs Jones", which is to be broadcast on the Vintage TV Channel which launches on the 1st September. This will be available free on SKY channel 369, Freesat channel 515 and on the internet via their website. The Channel will lunch on 1st September and according to its website will be a music channel dedicated to showing the best music from all decades. REWIND FESTIVAL CLOSES WITH ANOTHER GREAT GO WEST PERFORMANCE!
Sunday night saw the Rewind Festival in Henley draw to a close with well over 30,000 fans enjoying a climax to the weekend's programme with Go West playing as the final act of the Festival along with ABC and Tony Hadley. Peter Cox and Richard Drummie had wowed the Festival last year and upon their return on Sunday night they repeated this with a performance that saw tens of thousands braving torrential rain to enjoy a performance that included hits such as The King of Wishful Thinking and covers such as Sex on Fire which sent the crowd wild! The show ended with Go West and Tony Hadley dueting and was a worthy finale to the biggest 80's festival in the world. The fortunate fans who were at the Summer Sessions gig in Clumber park on Friday enjoyed a great Go West set as the band delivered a mix of classic hits and cool covers to the 30,000+ crowd. 3D UPDATE AND A NEW GO WEST DVD!
Go West's management have confirmed that a brand new DVD is planned for release later this year! The new DVD will include some brilliant footage that was previously only available on VHS as well as loads of new material from Peter and Richard; in this their anniversary year its effectively a history of Go West on DVD! More news about this great release will follow through 2010 but it is hoped the DVD will be available by Christmas. It has also been confirmed that due to Peter's recent illness the second part of '3D' has been slightly delayed. Peter and Richard are working on the cd now so it is sure to be wonderful when it is released!. Following from that the third part of this wonderful release is now due slightly later this year, following on from the wonderful first 3D CD it is certain that both new releases will be well worth the wait! SUMMER SHOW IN SWANSEA HAS BEEN CALLED OFF
The Summer show that had been planned to take place in Swansea on August 7th has been called off.. Go West were one of the bands who were due to perform at this open air show and it is a great shame for fans in Wales that the show will not now take place. A STATEMENT FROM GO WESTS' MANAGEMENT
The following statement was released today by Peter Cox and Go West's management...
“We regret to announce that Go West will not be performing at Borde Hill Gardens, Haywards Heath on July 3rd. Peter Cox has been unwell for the past few weeks and has been advised by his doctor not to perform tomorrow. Peter is extremely sorry to have to cancel a show, something Go West rarely do, but hopes to be able to take part in all of the future Summer Session shows.”
